Alexander Podgaetsky

Alexander Podgaetsky was born and raised in a real chess family in Kharkiv, Ukraine. As a child, he became interested in chess and history. Having become a National Candidate Master (Ukraine), in parallel with his studies at the university, starting from 2004, he began to engage in chess coaching with children. After defending a PhD dissertation in history in 2015, he moved to Israel. For several years he worked in the chess club of Rishon LeZion. Since 2022 Alexander has been working with children in New York. Alexander's students took part in the World Cadet championships, international and national tournaments in the USA, Israel and Ukraine. Alexander Podgaetsky has title Chess National Instructor (FIDE).
